Ok we are going to make a COWBOY STAYCATION event for Memorial weekend May 25-26. This is a fun, inexpensive way to have a "memorable" event but instead of spending $$ on fuel, spend it on (what else) entry fees!!!
There will be events for Sat and Sun. and Joseph gave the ok for anyone who wants to "camp" at the arena to do so (just pick up your trash). We will have some stalls available.
Saturday - May 25 - 10 a.m.
ADDED MONEY 4D BARREL RACE
$250 added for 20-49 entries and $500 for 50-100 entries
$1,000.00 added for 101 and over entries.
Open 4D - $40 entry fee - Will run at 12:00 noon
Jr and Sr Incentives - $25 entry fee (18 & under and 45 & over)
You may carry-over your time.
Exhibitions - $5 - starting at 10 a.m.
$5 arena fee.
Prizes to each division winners in the open.
We have excellent ground, time display boards, concessions, warm-up area and more.
6:00 p.m. - ******MODIFIFED RANCH RODEO******
Three Man Team - $20 ef per man - Beautifuil hand-tooled breast collars to the champs plus $$$$. Prizes for top three teams.
You may enter up on three teams (just can not have the same member combo on any two teams). You do not have to be on a team to enter an event. If you chose to enter on your own - you may enter one or all events, ef is $10 per event. Winner of each event will receive $$$ and prize.
Now here are the events----
TEAM ROPING - One member will head, one will heel, and the third member will grab a ribbon from the steer and run it across the line.
STEER DABBING - Simple - You will ride from the head box, with a mop dipped in flour, Basically see the steer out, dab the mop on the steer - above the hocks and behind the flank (by tailhead) raise mop for time. Don't break out.
ARENA RACE - Involves speed, no cattle, one barrel and easy enough for a man!!!
TEAM SORTING - Three man team, two members hold the line, the third will cut cattle out in numerical order.
Team with fastest overall time wins!! No time is 60 second penalty.
There will be lots of food, music (if you play, bring your instrument). On Sunday we will have a Sunday breakfast and devotional and Team Roping (on a slide) I will have exact info on the roping later.
