Beautiful and safe 2016 sorrel gelding by Streaking Ta Fame X multiple proven producing daughter of Marthas Six Moons. Virgil is very good looking, well broke, good conformation, gets along well with others, loads and hauls good, healthy, well cared for, easy keeper, low maintenance & a smooth mover. 15.2-15.3 hands. No serious injuries or scars. No bad habits. No buck, kick, weave, crib…no stupid. Lightly started on barrels. Ready to exhibition. Moves around great and maneuvers at a lope on a one-handed loose rein, collects well, soft in the ribs and face, and responds nicely to leg cues. Hauled to races last year and ridden around without any issues. Handles warm-up pen good. Was used to chase cattle out at big Cavalcade rodeo last summer and handled the cattle, wagons and commotion fine. I raised him and still have his mother. Virgil has several successful siblings such as: Dramatic First Moon…1D winner with various riders for years; Nick O Drama…1D winner with various riders for years; Hankerin For Drama…1D winner; Famously Dramatic
)…1D and futurity winner…I still own and run Virgil’s full brother. His full brother is very gentle, so smooth and easy to run. I have no reason to believe Virgil won’t be easy to finish training and successful like his siblings. I see no reason he couldn’t be ready for and successful in 5yo futurities. Virgil is very gentle and easy to get along with. My 70 year old mom as well as inexperienced friends have ridden Virgil at my house. He’s taken care of everyone safely. Virgil really is a great young gelding who is really easy to be around and should be a joy for someone throughout his career.
I have never sold an offspring from his mom before competing on them but have gotten behind on Virgil due to what seems like endless rain at my place for the last year and a half. To his benefit though, he hasn’t been rushed or hammered on. On top of the rain, I incurred a head injury last summer due to an accident with a friend’s horse and ever since I just don’t have the drive with the horses I used to. My mom is also scheduled for major neck surgery the end of June so I must sell a few horses to free up my time and Virgil is ready and capable for someone to proceed with.
