Age does not define this mare! Te Byrd has been there & done it all. We bought her in college when she was 16 and running 1D times at Texas Tech & 2.5 second times in breakaway. She's been used on the trails - though she's a fast walker so keep up, she knows the pole pattern, moved cattle and sheep & can jump & swim. She's a hard worker- no slacking off. Take a couple months off and get back on and she's the same horse. Future fortunes enrolled and has produced 1 foal in 2018 for us from Streakin Lil Wayne. She's a good mother, easy keeper, barefoot - no issues. Has never been sick to my knowledge. Eats well, she's great in a stall or turned out. If turned out you're really only going to catch her with whistling her to come up for feed. She is still competitive in jackpots & has been used as my lesson horse here lately for girls wanting to learn to barrel race. She's as automatic as they come. Her papers show she's 21 or 22 but she looks and performs like she's 12. She's a good one that will go on to live well into her thirties. Ready to take to a jackpot now!
