As I never thought this day would come, A new job and wedding has forced me to place Charlie up for sale. She is such a joy to have and it truly breaks my heart to have to give her up, but it is not fair to her to not be used to her potential. A GOOD HOME IS A MUST that will utilize her and love her. Horses 5 years and older
TC Charlies Back aka as "Charlie" is a 6 year old long legged, yet thick Thoroughbred. I would place her at about 15'2-15'3 hands. Charlie is black and ABSOLUTELY stunning! Charlie is a great mover and floats on the ground. She is very quick and loves to run.
I bought Charlie when she was 4 years old and have brought her along slowly. My initial plan was to Derby her as a 5 year old, run her a couple years and breed her to a great quarter horse stud. Fortunately or Unfortunately, Charlie required some more time for growing into her legs and figuring out how to use them. She has the sweetest personality and wants attention 24/7 if she can have it. Charlie is like a big puppy dog and will follow you around if you let her. Charlie will let my 7 and and 9 year old niece and nephew hop on her and tug her around the arena. She turns into a big baby sitter and will barely trot if asked by them. She also lets them lead her around and will hang her head down right beside them when she walks.
Charlie LOVES her food :) Charlie does require Regumate as she seems to like them boys! She is not nasty or mean, but will cry out for them and be squirrely if she is not on it. This helps her focus and function calmly. Charlie is a SUPER SOCIAL horse. She requires daily turnout and with a buddy. She likes to play hard in the pasture, so some protective gear may be needed at times :) She is bottom of the totem pole and will try to be every horses friend she sees. Charlie is the horse at Races who will stick her head out the stall and greet everyone coming in. She is NOT a stall horse. If you don't let her out to run and stretch her legs, she is a busy girl and will dig a hole to China. She loves her rope toys to swing around.
Due to lack of time and facilities, I made the decision to send Charlie to a trainer for the winter as she requires daily riding/exercise. Charlie has about 4 months of basic training with Riley Youngman and 3 months of Barrel Training with Taylor Blaine. Charlie has really flourished with in the last 3 months on the barrels. She is a gritty mare that wants to please you. Charlie is started on the pattern and in the past month has started to enter races and add speed slowly. SPEED is not an issue for Charlie. WE KNOW SHE HAS IT, but her feet seem to go too fast at times and she needs to learn her placement. When she places them correctly, she is a force to be reckoned with. With every ride, she gets better and better. I honestly cannot wait to see someone take this girl to the top as she is an Athlete! I also think she will make phenomenal Athletic babies down the road. As stated Above, it KILLS me to sell her as she has so much to offer.
Due to her speed and still learning, she requires an experienced rider, that knows what they are doing. Someone who has a correct seat, hand position, and can be consistent in their riding. I have videos for Serious Inquiries.
