"Bird Feather" aka "Feather" is a 2019 OTTB (will be 4 in April), she was lightly raced with only 3 starts on the track. Sired by COMMISSIONER highest speed figure, 112 earnings of 962,237 on the track with 15 starts. Out of BIRD COLORS who is by BIRDSTONE; highest speed figure, 110 and earnings of 1.5 million in 9 starts. Maternal line also has Giants Castaway and Storm Cat!
Feather is broke under a western saddle, has a good foundation, w/t/l, good stop, neck rein, and collection. She moves off leg super well. Stands about 15.3. She is ready to be someone’s project and be aimed in a certain direction. I was hoping to bring her along on the barrel pattern and futurity her, however, life has gotten in the way and she is not being used like she deserves. Feather has a wonderful temperament and has allowed me to stand on her back, do back flips off of the saddle, etc. She would be a great project to start on the barrels. She is at the bottom of the pecking order and is more on the timid side, she is one of the best mares I have ever had and is super quick to learn and easy to work with. I have hauled her to a few different arenas and she does well in the trailer and in new places. Located near Rochester, MN. She is UTD on all vet work, farrier, teeth floating, and coggins.
