Heza County Secret”
7 yr old solid gelding. 1d/2d across 5 states
"Heza County Secret"Aka JB is a true 1d/
2d in multiple states. Easy to ride. Youth suitable.
Requires some maintenance. Hauls alone
or with others. Gets along with others.
Really easy to be around gelding. Runs poles. Been cowboyed on. Runs right or left.
I got him last year in July. Previously was used for High School rodeo in the barrels in Oregon. He made Nationals but the family could not afford to send their daughter.
I ran him at Monte Vista, Co pro rodeo last year in a perf he was good it took a 18.1 to place he was a .3 with mistakes. My mom prefers him to left, i prefer him right, so it’s dealers choice. He always picks up his first either way I just think he's stronger on his second and third going to the right first.
He ran on the track. Then got sent to some cowboy in South Dakota then a girl in Arizona patterned him. I have no idea who that was.
I had him gone through at Albquerque Equine when I got him, if I remember we radiographed hocks, stifles and knees and maybe laterals of the front feet but I can't remember off the top of my head. All looked good.
I injected his hocks, I think last August.
I ran him at jackpots he was consistently in the 1d/2d in New Mexico. I took him to buckles for Bailey and he made the top 15 out of 650 or so.
I took him to a jackpot in Lubbock he was in the 1d both days I hit the first leaving it the first day. I feel like he is equally as good outdoors as he is indoors. He runs a bit harder when he's outside but pretty even.
I ran him on LASIKs but did it from the get go just to be safe.
He tore his right hamstring in October at Lubbock pro rodeo.
I gave him 6 months off and treated it with Acuscope and Myopulse, put him on previcox. I took him to my vet in March before I sent him to my mom. The Vet said he was good to go. His walk and trot are mechanical and she told me thats the way he would be. Does not inhibit his performance. My mom's been riding him, and gave a few lessons to couple of her students (11yr and 13yr ). My mom just won 5th in the 1d out of 200 girls in California. And one her students ran him in the poles at a jr rodeo and won fifth with him.
He's been a really fun horse to run. Very personable, sweet and kind disposition. Good to for farrier. Good for vets. All around good horse to be around. Only reason I'm selling him is because I'm pregnant and have four other barrel horses. Vet checks welcomed at buyers expense.
$40,000, open to reasonable offers to the right home
