MURR THE SPARK DR

Mur the Spark DR aka Murray is an 18 year old appendix with shining spark and Murrtheblurr on his papers! He is absolutely solid on both barrels and poles and is the definition of consistent, which I think makes him the perfect kids horse. I’ve owned him for 4 years and have never hit a barrel on him, despite many rider mistakes! He is 4D/5D in the open at Utah competitions. He runs consistent 21-22 second poles and is very willing to work. He’s an easy keeper and gets along with other horses. Exceptional to lead, tie, shoe, load, mess around on, etc. He is awesome to ride, super smooth especially through his turns, making him great for a confident youth! At home he is very chill and more than happy to do anything you throw at him! He does get a bit hot at the alley but never uncontrollable or unsafe. He does require a little maintenance (just like any older horse) if you’re running him consistently. I do hock and coffin injections and I put him on previcox to keep him comfortable. I used him as a pole horse through high school rodeo and have been wanting to keep up on riding him for the past year but just haven’t found the time. I would love to keep him but I don’t use him as much as he deserves. I’m also putting myself through college and can’t afford to keep him around. I’m currently legging him up after over a year off the pattern, he is HONEST!! He has been doing so well, running the same as he was before as well as taking care of new, inexperienced riders through the pattern. He will make the best horse for a kid, someone looking to step up their confidence and riding ability on a solid horse, or simply for someone who enjoys going through the pattern on a smooth, consistent ride!
