Jess Walking TheWire is a 3-year-old off track gelding. Sire is Jesscuzican who has track earnings 252k and is a champion aged stallion. He’s out of a Dash Ta Fame mare that won $35k on the track back when purses weren’t as high in tough Ruidoso competition. Dam has produced multiple 1D barrel horses (ex. Three Ta Six owned by Peterson’s) and track earners (ex. Dash Ta Desirio $60k). Hero was started to be track broke in late January 2024 when sent to the track and mostly sent because owners wanted to get him the experience and race only in Canterbury MN bred races. Took him a few outs to understand his job but in his last race he finished 3rd. Was brought back to be a horse until January, 2025. Now has 60 days of riding and lightly started on barrel pattern and working drills. Smooth to ride. Has a scar on his right knee from an injury as a weanling, which fully healed, but it is ugly. He does stand a bit base narrow (pigeon toed). Could go back to track to race for MN Bred money in derbies or continue on with barrel training.
