Zach is a gorgeous, all-around gelding for sale! He is not only easy on the eyes but also easy in the saddle. Zach walks, trots, and lopes both ways on a loose rein or collected. Zach can spin, do flying lead changes, and has incredible all-around body control! He can side-pass and do hard stops. He has been lightly started on the barrel pattern as well! He has only seen the barrels a handful of times, and in his first exhibition, he clocked a 20.5. This cool gelding could go any direction, roping, cutting, reining, barrel racing, or even just a horse to ride on trails.
In Zach's past, he was put into lots of cutting/reining training and then sat for approximately 7 years, but he returned to riding within a few days and was “restarted” a few months ago. Zach is the best fit for an intermediate to advanced rider or a super handy older kid. He does get fresh with time off, but never does anything under saddle.
Not only is Zach super well-broke, but he has a remarkable pedigree! He is out of Catty Starlight, the 2001 Sorrel Stallion Earner of over 58,000.00 in ACHA and NRHA and the 2008 Reserve World Champion. The hall of famer, Grays Starlight, Grays Starlight has sired many outstanding offspring, including the 2003 Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Bridle Champion, Starlight Playmate. He has surpassed the Million Dollar Sire Mark in both Reining and Cutting, with total offspring earnings over $10 Million. He also has other remarkable horses, such as Peppy San Badger and High Brow Cat!
