Marilyn is the total package —an own daughter of Guys Pocket Coin out of a Dash Ta Fame mare. Standing 15.3 hands and weighing in at 1,400 lbs, she is the complete package.
This mare is a tank, but don’t let her size fool you—she rides like a Cadillac. Marilyn is a finished 1/2D barrel horse in North Texas, where the competition is as fierce as it gets. She is automatic, easy to ride, and also patterned on the poles.
In the arena, Marilyn is fancy broke with quick, catty footwork. She moves around like a cow horse. She counter-arcs, side-passes, spins a hole in the ground, opens and closes gates—she does it all. She’s been ranched on and is started on the head side, showing a natural cow sense.
Beyond performance, Marilyn’s versatility is unmatched. Over the winter, she was leased to a whiskey company as a model and served as a reliable trail horse for inexperienced riders—always taking care of her rider. She stays steady with time off, never getting fresh. Just this past Christmas, she proudly led Stephenville’s Christmas parade. We’ve even ridden her English!
