This horse was hauled and seasoned to prepare for his futurity year, and then I got hurt and he's been on the backburner since. He's big, strong, and knows his job...well. Run him to his pocket, drop your hand, and hang on. He's super broke and has all the buttons a good one should. He'll slam his butt into the ground if you ask his to stop. Walk, trot, lope with a squeeze and he's super light. Knows the poles and we've messed around with him a little on some calves. He travels good, ties, stalls, eats, drinks, stays in electric fence at the trailer, warms up quiet. We just haven't been taking him, because we're busy with, well, life. He's not for a beginner. He needs a rider that can handle a rocket. He's in your hands, responsive, and knows his job, but he'll run right out from under you if you can't keep up. That being said, our kids (who are handy) can handle him in the warm up pen, at home, and on the trails.
We had a performance horse vet look at him this past Spring, because she was here anyway, and she said he was good to go. And then we didn't go anywhere. Vet checks are absolutely welcome.
This isn't an easy ad to post. He's in shape and he's at the age that he should be out there winning though. He needs to be on a trailer. He's a super athlete and he has the ability to win just about anywhere he goes. We're not desperate to sell him. He's nice to be around, likes attention, and has outstanding manners on the ground. He keeps easy and doesn't require any special care. He's currently barefoot, but has had shoes on.
