āScarfaceā is a 5-year-old gelding out of the great Flit To Kill mare Flitastic and by Rakin In The Cash (SI 106, earner of $242,000+ on the track, graded stakes winner, barrel racing progeny earnings of $100,000). Flitastic was one of the toughest youth and open barrel horses in the Southeast in her prime. She started her career under NFR barrel racer Tiany Schuster, and went on to win about $50,000 with youth rider Rachel Walker, including multiple Open 1D and super show wins, go-round wins, top 1D placings, and clocking the fastest time of the Josey Reunion in 2007. Flitastic also finished as reserve champion at the 2009 Dixie National WPRA pro rodeo in Jackson, Mississippi, with Angela Gilliam.
Scarface comes from a proven family of winners ā of the two Flitastic babies in the arena, both are money winners. Scarfaceās full brother MJ Cashmeoutside placed in the top 15 of the 2nd go of the BFA Juvenile as a 3-year-old, the top five at the Indiana Barrel Futurity his 4-year-old year with James Barnes, and has multiple Open 1D wins at 100+ entry barrel races as well as several top five 1D placings. MJ Vodkaontherocks, out of Flitastic and by Firewaterontherocks, is a money-earning youth horse.
Scarface stands 15.3 hands and is a big, stout horse who likes to please. He is an in-your-pocket dude who is kind and gentle with a goofy personality. He had 30 days with three-time Worldās Greatest Horsewoman and National Reined Cow Horse Association world champion Kelsey Love Thomas. Heās been pasture ridden extensively and is not bothered at all by deer or cattle. Heās also had about 90 days with Nicole love and now 90 days with Quay and has been hauled to several local shows! Has not been entered yet but he is ready to begin entering some!
His name comes from a scar on his nose from an injury as a weanling that is totally cosmetic. He also has a cosmetic scar on his back left ankle from a previous injury that never caused any soundness issues. He is easy to be around, stands for the farrier and is current on dental/vaccinations/de-worming.
