Cheeto was never a pole horse until the beginning of my freshman year (2013). I didn't have a pole horse, so I trained him, and 3 months later ran a 20.5 and qualified me for the State Finals. He is a phenomenal athlete and succeeds in every event he's competed in. Cheeto is phenomenal in poles and breakaway! I would argue that he is one of the nicest pole horses on the market. He is a 4X Idaho State Qualifier in the poles. In the 2015 season his slowest time was a 21.3! Then in this last 2016 rodeo season he averaged a time of 21.0 and our slowest time all season was a 21.9!
We originally bought Cheeto as a barrel horse, but my sister used him for breakaway in college and he led the nation for half of their first season. He spent countless hours at the Shiozawa's for practice runs. He is rock solid in the box and know his job! He was also calf roped and cut on with his prior owner. We can get some videos of someone calf roping on him upon request.
He is going to be turning 19 this coming March 2017. He does NOT look or act like it and is ready to continue to win for a new rider. He has recent, CLEAN X-rays we can send upon request. He also requires no maintenance, but does crib and is controlled with a cribbing collar.
This horse would not be for sale if we were still pole bending. He will continue to be hauled to jackpots until sold. For further information, don't hesitate to text or call 2087058173 (Mallory).
