Willy is one of the nicest horses I've swung a leg over. He tries his heart out every single time. He hasn't been run in about 3 years, through no fault of his own. He only started running barrels when he was 6 years old, so he has definitely not been over run. I haven't been able to haul and run him due to getting married, buying a house, and I just had a baby in November. With the limited runs he has had in the last few years, he was getting up in the 2D locally; so I have no doubt that somebody who has the time to take him and run him consistently, that he would always be in the 2D. I have taken him to quite a few Barrel Bashes, and he is always in the 3D. He does get hot at the gate, so I would recommend him for an experienced rider. He is super easy to keep in shape at home. I would just long trot him throughout the week and run him on the weekends. He does not need any barrel work at home, he runs the same pattern every single time. He is push style and he is not a barrel hitter. In the 7 years I have had him, we have only knocked a handful of times, and every time was my fault. His only quirk is he does not like machinery. He hauls great, ties at the trailer, and is good about his feet getting done. He is up to date on his shots, coggins, and teeth. He gets his feet done every 6 weeks. I rode him up until I was 7 months pregnant, and I was able to get on him after 4 months off with no issues. He rode off like he had been ridden every day. He is the most solid horse I have ever ridden and the only reason he is for sale is because I have no time between working full time and having a baby. Otherwise I would never sell this horse. He has also never had one soundness issue. His front left foot did get caught in a fence when he was 6 years old, and he has a scar on it but has never been lame. Vet checks are more than welcome at the buyers expense. I don't have any videos because of the winter we have had and I haven't had time to ride with the baby. I have plenty of videos of him running on my youtube channel. It is under the name Michelle Panhorst. His price is negotiable to a good home!
