“Michigan” has been a girls rodeo/drill team/playday horse for the last 4-5 years and is now looking for her next home as her owner has sadly out grown her. For several years, Michigan, was part of a family who would haul out to drill team events, ride in town parades, playdays, and weekend trail riding events almost every weekend. Michigan has been hauled, seasoned, and is a finished all around youth mount. Michigan is QUIET and non spooky!! She could careless about tarps, flags, tractors, barking dogs, cattle, and loud noises(even gunfire!). She loads up easy into any trailer, stands by the trailer all day long, and has no nasty bad habits. When the girls would have a playdate, Michigan, was always the trusty steed and always the star of the show! She will stand tied for hours letting the girls brush, braid her mane, and finger paint her! Michigan is very easy going and forgiving, and allows anyone to crawl all over her. She has been rode bareback, double, and just about any other way the girls could think about. Michigan has been used extensively as a drill team horse the last couple years, and also has ran every playday pattern there is. She has been a Rodeo Queen horse and is very confident carrying a flag. She has NO gate issues and is always willing to do what her rider asks. This mare has a long floating trot and knows her canter leads. With her laid back personality, she would make an excellent mounted shooting horse too. Michigan has been rode out extensively on the trails and walks through water and over obstacles without issue. Turn her out for a season and bring her back up the next and ride her without a worry – she’s as honest as they come! Michigan needs a rider that enjoys a forward riding horse – so a confident youth or adult rider that isn’t afraid of a little speed is a must.
Michigan has never offered to buck/rear/bite/kick and is a happy camper turned out with a herd of horses. She is very sound, barefoot, no maintenance, no health issues. UTD on all care. She is ready to be apart of your family!
