Steel is a 10 year old 15.3 hand (at his withers) grey OTTB (jockey club registered Brooks Open Gold) gelding. Been running barrels about 3 years. 2D/3D with a rider who will push him, HE IS GOING TO GO THE SPEED HE IS ASKED, he will run the pattern and then turn around and walk it. Ratey PUSH STYLE. Very easy to ride, never runs past a barrel, hardly ever hits a barrel, VERY HONEST and automatic, he knows his job in the pen. Has not had his legs ran off. Runs same pattern every time in any size pen, indoor or out, runs left. He is always in your pocket, GENTLE GIANT. Runs in a Jr cow horse. Moves off legs and feet. Beautiful trot and lope while warming up. Also knows poles (started on). No gate issues, NOT HOT or on the muscle. He's not a dead head, but also not a fire breathing dragon. Been trail ridden countless times, no spook, SAFE. YOUTH SUITABLE, was ridden high school rodeo in 2016, been around alot of sights and sounds. UTD on shots, teeth and coggins. Loads, stands tied, stands for farrier, bathes, clips, hauls great, no bad habits, NO VICES. Gets along with everyone. Reasonable offers considered. I have owned him 5 months. Was an 8 year olds horse when I bought him. I bought him as a CONFIDENCE BUILDER (which he has been) after a fall on my main horse and now that I'm back riding him, I just don't have time for 2 horses, that is the ONLY reason Steel is for sale. He is currently 5th in 4D in IBRA this year with me. I don't have ONE bad thing to say about this horse. Serious buyers only, NO JOY RIDES. May partial trade for Caldwell saddle. Vet checks welcome at buyers expense. 100% SOUND. NO ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. He has had hocks injected once (around 2014) and back injected once (June 2018). YouTube Holly Matlock Neal for videos, that's all I have right now but will be happy to get more.
