Grade gelding, 14 hh but don’t let his size fool you. He is built like a brick house. My husband is 6 ft and 220 llbs and rides him. Judging by his teeth he is approximately 6-8 years old. We have put 30 days on him here at my facility. He is very cowy and used for cow events with previous owners. We do not know much about his history other than he was used in Mexican rodeos. We trail ride him and rope off him mostly. I have trotted the barrel pattern on him. He does show interest and experience as a heel horse. He has been roped off before us as well. He comes out of the box nice and chases cows. He rates a cow great. All levels of riders have been on him from never riding before to advanced. Great ground manners, no kick or bite. He’s sound, no medical issues that we are aware of. We haul him everywhere we go. He stands for the farrier, stands tied, ponies, etc. He would make a great all-around horse for someone willing to but the time in to finish him.
All horses have their quirks, here are his:
He can get a little attitude. If you have ever owned a pony, then you understand how they can be. He is not hurtful by any means, but he can be stubborn.
He can get nervous when roping off of him but he does not do anything bad, he just wants to work and get those cows.
He can get a little buddy sour when being tied alone
Despite his few flaws. He is a phenomenal horse! He has taught my husband how to rope off a horse. He would be great for anyone trying to learn how to rope. He is our go to horse for whatever we want to do or if anyone wants to ride. He has an amazing personality and is an easy keeper. $2,500 OBO. Good home a must.
