**UPDATE - I have two videos of youth running -
Text for videos - Detailed video listed below**

"Tuff" is a TRUE all-around gelding! Has been running barrels 2 years now clocking 2D and has not been pushed - This gelding has a huge motor but is as quiet as he is talented. I am his second owner. He was started as a reiner and had 18 months training then was used for branding/day work/sorting/penning until approximately age 7. He was then started in roping - head/heel, calf roping and breakaway. He was not started on the barrels/poles until I purchased him two years ago. He was started slow and correct. Tuff has ALL the bells and whistles when it comes to a handle. He walks in the alley before and after a run, lots of bend and rate, will go where ever you put him, will run left OR right, VERY easy to run - point, rate and sit up. Slow works at every gait. Breaks at the poll, arcs/counterarcs, flexes, moves off leg pressure, engages front end or hip, side passes, roll backs, open/close gates - the works - in an o-ring snaffle. I run him in a short shank dog bone with a loose curb. When roping he works in a medium shank dogbone or chain mouth piece. Absolutely no alley issues or vices. Has been ran in ALL ground conditions and is very sure footed - indoor or outdoor pen - has ran two rodeos for experience and had not one issue. Tuff is only started on poles and nearly high loping poles - flying lead changes and beautiful snappy end turns. Ready to add speed.

Tuff has a very smooth jog trot and short lope, long strided and really covers ground. Very smooth in the turns and leaves hard. He will slow down for the youth - My 6 year old son who is a beginner rides him bareback and at playdays/barrel races and after I make a run, he's quiet with my son in the warm up pen and alley way.

This guy will really work a cow in the pasture or in a sorting. He drops his head and is quiet when you ask him to come back to you. He has a lot of grit and won't let one get past him. We have used him dragging bulls and cows, calves to branding, He will day work into the night if you send him. My son has also rode him for pushing calves up and he is a baby sitter with the kids.

Tuff has a huge sliding stop and really works a barrel pattern. I personally do not have much experience in the roping area but I've had two breakaway youth ropers and two calf ropers rope on him in the past 6 months and they stated he needs a light tune up and he would be back into rodeo condition - We have clocked low 3's in breakaway with youth riders. Really works a rope well and is quiet during tie-down roping. Quiet in the box with a quiet rider - can get slightly on the muscle if you hang too tight on him or rope too many without scoring one or two. No box issues.

Super easy to catch - He will beat you to the gate. No hauling, loading, farrier, bathing, blanketing etc issues. Tuff is extremely personable but knows his place. Great on the ground with kids as my two year old attempts to hang from his tail and crawls under him while tied.

I had a FULL vet exam including hock, stifle, ankle and navicular x-rays performed in the fall - Extremely clean legged. Can forward all vet records to interested buyer to save on pre-purchase exam for your personal vet to review. Dental, tube worming and shots are current. Excellent feet and currently shod.

Only negative thing I could say about this gelding is he is dominant during feeding when out in the pasture with other horses and may crib in a stall without a collar. In the pasture he's never attempted.

The ONLY reason I have even considered to offer him for sale (as I have gone back and forth since the x-rays were taken in the fall) - I was offered to buy back my open rodeo mare I previously sold during a pregnancy a couple years back. I can't afford to keep Tuff as I have purchased my mare back.

Tuff is one of those true all-around geldings that you can pull up after 4 months off and take him straight to the pasture to pen cattle or haul to a jackpot or stick all the family kiddos on at a birthday party. He is honest and solid as the day is long. No quirks or holes in him aside from the two mentioned above. You will truly not be disappointed if you make the trip to see him!

If you are looking for a true all-around youth/high school rodeo horse, solid easy-to-run jackpot horse with easy potential to be 1D/local rodeo caliber - or you're trying to talk your team/calf roping husband to get you ANOTHER barrel horse - This guy is dual certified and can work for you both!

Pre-Purchase Exam welcome at buyers expense or have your vet review my vets x-rays.

Certified US Equine Shipping at buyers expense. I have one company I have used the past 6 years that I have been very impressed with the quality and care the horses receive.

I can accept PayPal and credit card payments via PayPal.
