Dashing Barbee Doll (Red Mare) is a 10 year old broodmare with plenty of natural athleticism and a wonderful disposition. She has great ground manners; she is easy to catch, bath, trim, blanket, and load. She’s always happy to greet you in the field and is great in a herd setting, is a fair boss mare in the herd and gets along with geldings, mares and foals. Red Mare has had one foal that had exceptional conformation and a disposition just like his dam’s. She raised him to be respectful out in the herd and produced plenty of milk, she foaled easily and own her own. Her first breeding was done via AI and she took on the first try, my vet says she has great breeding conformation. Due to my own lack of funds after my divorce and buying her later in life, I have not sought out having her started under saddle plus she does have some nasty looking old scars and proud flesh on her hind legs. She appears sound in the pasture at all gaits but I would prefer to sell her to a home that will incorporate her into their breeding program rather than one that wishes to pursue a riding career with her. I do have the AQHA paperwork that could be sent in for dual registration. I never got around to sending it off since my divorce left me in a tight financial place and she had already been in the “aged” category for late registration. These papers can go along with her in the sale.
Red Mare’s pedigree is full of athletic using and running lines. Her top side goes back to older using horses as well as old run. On the bottom side of her pedigree, you can see horses such as:
Aze Beduino (SI97) - earned over $26k on the track and produced over $400k in track earners. Paint son of Beduino out of a Dash For Cash(SI114) daughter, Winadash who produced several race winning foals.
Down With Debt (SI102) - mare that won 17 of her 29 outs, winning several G1 races and over $400k on the track. Daughter of First Down Dash(SI105) out of a Merridoc(SI102) daughter, I Owe You Me (SI102) who won over $100k on the track and produced multiple stakes winners.
Cross her on running lines to produce a great barrel or track horse, or cross her back on cow and ranch lines to get a quick-footed working horse. She’ll make a great addition to any program.
