Sweet an Sixy, "Maybelline," is a solid, finished barrel horse by an own son of Streakin Six, out of a great granddaughter of Pine Chock. While Streakin Six needs no introduction in the barrel racing world, Pine Chock might need some explanation. As a breeding stallion, Pine Chock sired 71 AQHA point-earning foals including 11 Superior awards, 37 Register of Merits and one AQHA Champion, all in all, a producer of many great athletes in his time. I originally purchased Maybelline to college rodeo on, however I no longer college rodeo and I am getting more into breakaway, so unfortunately I have to let her go. She had a clean pre-purchase exam when I bought her, but of course I am open to vet-checks at the buyers expense. Maybelline is a super easy mare to ride, she is very push style, point and kick and she'll turn. In addition to this easy style, don't let her age fool you, she has not had her legs run off, as she was used as a brood mare for around 4 years prior to me owning her. I have taken her to all kinds of places: college rodeos, amateur rodeos, small jackpots, big barrel races, indoor, outdoor, good ground, bad ground you name it. She runs in the 2D locally, 3D at bigger races. She would be perfect for high school rodeo, or someone who just wants to jackpot, she will do it all. As far as maintenance she is as low as you can get, you can turn her out for a month and get right back on her, with no sillyness, and she lunges like a dream. I prefer texts or calls regarding the horse, my price is negotiable. I also have more videos.
