Description:
Burr is a 9 year old 1D-2D barrel horse and a 1D pole horse. He is a very consistent and honest horse and he never really knocks a pole or barrel. He runs high 20s and low 21s in poles.
I have had Burr for a little over a year and have accomplished so much with this horse. He is a Little Britches Wisconsin and Illinois state champion pole bender, Little Britches Wisconsin state champion barrel racer, 2x National Little Britches qualifier and qualified last year for the National High School Rodeo Finals in Wyoming.
He has been started in breakaway and trail courses. Burr is truly a horse that will try anything you point him to. He tries his hardest to please and doesn't have any quirks or issues. He walks directly in the gate calmly and will provide an amazing run every time. I have had children and my boyfriend ride him. He knows when to turn on the fast switch but also knows when to calm down. He requires very low maintenance and is currently legged up and ready to go for the spring/early summer rodeos. He will be available to pick up anytime after 4/13/25.
It truly breaks my heart to list this horse. He has given me so many opportunities in my rodeo career and is an amazing horse. I am so grateful for the chance to ride this horse, however I am currently a college student who is pursuing law, and sadly does not have the time to put into this horse. I know that Burr can continue to bring other's their dreams and I want to be able to give that opportunity to someone. If Burr does not sell right away then I plan to continue rodeo and enter in some pro rodeos over the summer. With this in mind, his price may increase if not sold before summer, as he gains more experience.
