Rambo is out of the same great mare as Fallon Taylor's "Puma-Cat" - Three Tymes a Lady. On the sire's side - Rambo is a 1/2 sibling to our daughters great horse "Hawk". Puma needs no introduction - Hawk has won multiple derbys / Sherry Cervi Youth Championship / has multiple Arena records. Hillary Hilzendeger got him as a wealing and trained him and ran him as a futurity horse. We bought him with intentions to finish out his futurity year. Since I've owned him, we have struggled to keep him healthy. We turned him out 2nd half of his futurity year due to ulcers. We brought him back his 6 yr old derby yr and found out he still had ulcers. Treated him again and got to run him at the end of the season. I was ready for his 7 yr old derby season & again have not been able to keep him feeling good. When he was at the trainers - he was in a large open pasture & we do not have this setup. When he feels good - he is super fun / easy to run. Runs left. We run him on lasix. He's a super nice horse & I believe he could be awesome if you can keep him feeling good - I haven't been able to.
