Doc is a really cool bay roan gelding with a solid using-horse background. He has been ranched on up north, knows what a dayβs work is, and rides like one that has had plenty of real-world miles. He is handy, broke, quick-footed, and has a really fun feel under saddle.
On the barrels, Doc is easy, honest, and fun to run. I would currently estimate him as a 2D/3D type horse, but I will have more stats on him soon. He is the kind you just ride to your spot, sit, check, and he will turn. He is not shouldery, not a barrel hitter, and does not feel like one that is going to turn over the top of one. He wants to shape up, stay honest, and do his job. He runs well in a hackamore and bonnet.
Doc is safe and solid under saddle. He is the kind you can give time off, saddle back up, and go ride without drama. He has not offered to buck, rear, or do anything silly with me. He is one of our favorites around here because he is just a good, solid gelding!
I think Doc would be a great fit for a handy high school rodeo girl, experienced youth rider, or adult looking for a fun, honest barrel horse with a solid feel and plenty of life experience!
Doc was just seen by the vet on May 12. He had his hocks and stifles injected, and the vet said he looked great otherwise. He is up to date on teeth, feet, and worming. PPEs are welcome at buyerβs expense!
