How do I edit my ad?
Find your ad and display it. Look at the top of the ad on the right. See the edit link. Log in with the password you supplied when you created the ad.

I can't find my ad?
Did you pay for the ad online or select mail in payment? If you know the ad number, go to the horse search page, and type in the number. If you find the ad, log in to edit the ad and look at the top to see if it is paid for or up for renewal.

How do I put pictures on my ad?
Once your ad is posted you can add four pictures. Pictures must be JPG type files and sized small enough so they will not timeout on upload. Display your ad, use Edit my Ad link on the top right. Scroll down to the picture section. Use the browse button to browse to the first picture on your computer you want to upload. The first picture will also be the one featured as a thumbnail on the ad listing. Upload one picture at a time. If you timeout or receive an error, the picture is too big. Use any popular picture editing software to reduce / resample the picture down to 400 pixels wide. Be sure to refresh your edit screen or ad after each upload to see changes, (F5).  If you see pictures but thumbnails with a rex X on the ad, you probably uploaded a BMP or GIF file. The server cannot resize or thumbnail these file types.

All ads on BHW are placed directly by the seller and BHW is not liable or responsible for their content. All pictures used on an ad must have permission of the photographer. Ads using protected pictures or other copyrighted material will be subject to immediate removal upon request of the owner of the copyrighted material without reimbursement to seller.

Sold sign won't go away.
If you sold the horse but the deal fell through you probably want to take the sold sign off. Please generate a support ticket below. Be sure to include your ad number.

How do I renew my ad?
If the ad has expired or you can't find the ad, see help question above, I can't find my ad. Display your ad and log in to edit. See renewal instructions at the top. Renewing your ad will clear the hit counter and make your ad a new ad again. It will start on the center of the home page and move down another row each time a newer ad is placed.

I submitted a support ticket but I did not hear back from anyone
After submitting a support ticket you should receive an automated reply email that lets you know that we have received your request. Tickets get queued up for review by the support staff and are answered in a timely manner. If your ticket only contained a suggestion or comment then no further response will be sent to you. If you did not receive the automated reply, the email address you entered may be in error. Please submit a new ticket.

My expire date is one day older than my start date
Your ad is not active. All new ads are expired by default until paid for. If the dates are whacked then no payment was received. Possible causes include a credit card delined or a check not yet received.

A suspicious buyer contacted me. What should I check for?
If you suspect a scammer is selling or trying to buy a product, see our Fraud page for actual emails sent to us and read about other fraud triggers. Please report to us the ad number and/or email in question here. You can also report it to the FBI at the Internet Crime Complaint Center.

How do I mark my ad sold?
Login to your account, select the appropriate ad you wish to mark sold, then scroll down and choose the SOLD display icon.

Confirm that no further changes can be made, then scroll down and click Save Changes to keep the SOLD flag on your ad.

How can I remove / suspend my ad?
We can help if you'd like to remove or pause your ad. Please generate a support ticket below. Be sure to include your ad number.

Does BHW automatically renew my ad?
Your ad does not automatically renew. If you would like to renew it, please login to your account to renew the listing after the expiration date. If the ad has expired or you can't find the ad, see help questions above (I can't find my ad) (How do I renew my ad).

I have an ad but it is not in my list when I log in.
Perhaps there is a different email for your ad. Go to the ad page and confirm that you are logging in with the matching email address listed on the ad.

You can try to edit the ad directly by visiting the page on our website and using the "Edit Ad" button at the top of the page to edit the listing directly there.

I am in an auction but I want to switch back to a regular sale ad.
Login anytime to edit your ad. Scroll down and change the Listing Type from Auction to Normal Sale.

How do I put videos on my ad?
Login to edit your ad. At the bottom of the page, just above where you add images, you are able to add up to three videos by adding YouTube, Vimeo, or Rumble links. You are also able to upload a single .MP4 video directly from your phone or computer.

There is no contact information on the ad.
Some sellers wish to remain anonymous in their listings. Please reach out to them directly using the white "Contact Seller" button just above the description and use the "Reply by email anonymously" email link to send a request.

The seller looks like a scam or is misrepresenting the horse/saddle. What should I do?
First, review the Fraud page to see if any of the fraud triggers are similar to the ad you are reporting. Then, follow the instructions at the top of the fraud page to report the problematic listing.
