Alright let’s try this again yes this horse was posted before but,…. I had cold feet and deleted my ad because I genuinely wanted to keep going with him but I just can’t due to someone dreaming of RN school next year and needing an extra cushion to prepare financially for school. So here we go..

AJL Coys Epic Fame is a 2yr old grey gelding with loads of potential. He is future fortunes and Ruby Buckle enrolled. The breeder enrolled him into these incentives prior to me purchasing him as a weanling. I have owned Gus since he was a weanling. Gus has loads of potential to go on and be a performance horse. Hes gritty and quick in the field. I love to watch him run and play. Gus trailers, ties, lunges, baths. Stands for feet trims. He has 10 rides on him under saddle this includes walk, trot, loping circles. Responding to leg pressure and breaking at the poll. On his 10th ride we went for a trail ride for the first time and by ourselves no other horses at Barkcamp state part and he done well for his first trip. I have only ridden him in a Hackamore have yet to put a bit in his mouth. Gus is not rode consistently I work a heavy night shift schedule so he gets rode when I have the time. Currently lunge him few minutes prior to getting on him. Then I get on and go. I started putting my rides on him in April. Gus is up to date on shots and coggins as well. Teeth floated in March of this year. He is stalled routinely with couple of hours turnout with his friends. Currently being treated for suspected gastric stomach ulcers with daily medication since May 2026 I did not scope him to confirm ulcers nor has he ever been scoped . Based on his behaviors and my vet examining him she felt was best to start him on medication to treat ulcers. The medication does seems to be helping.

Quirks:
So Gus can be a handful he’s alittle spicy and reactive at times. He does have spirit mixed with some spookiness. Under saddle he is very responsive to cues and the speed you can tell the talent is there. What I mean by spicy and reactive is he seems to have a slight attitude mixed with anxiety from being buddy sour. Is he mean? No. Is he out to hurt you ? No. Has he ever Bucked under saddle No but has bunny hopped once and I do believe was just playful typical colt stuff. Gus genuinely wants to work and please a person. When your focused on him he is focused on you. He wants to learn and please. Will he try to over power you and see what he can out smart you with … yes. He is not the best to tie . He does tie but he gets very inpatient at times paws, bunny hops, nickers while standing there. Probably benefit from being tied to the patience tree consistently. To stall him he’s fine but if he isn’t out daily he will get hot jump around buck and kick walls if you take his buddy away then simmers down eventually. He has phobias of being left behind I assume. Buddy Sour yes but not horrible it’s improving the more I work with him. He walks on and off my trailer with a ramp just fine he will paw and get alittle anxious at times hauls better with a friend. We recently started the horse on Prozac daily for anxiety and it seems to be helping. The more I put time and rides on him the better he gets and makes it hard to sell him. I know this sounds ruff and like alot but the potential is there I think if a person worked with him and had more turnout pasture time than I have to give him it would help significantly and lot of these behaviors and issues would improve or resolve unfortunately my work schedule and limited resources limits how much time I get to work and train on him. I just am being very honest I want the person to know everything about Gus and know what he is before they buy him. I want the right home and fit. This horse was never supposed to be for sale. Do I want to sell him no not really but RN school is coming up and I need to be ready financially and unfortunately school has to come first this time I have put it off long enough for horses. $8500 bring cash must buy in person. Any more information or questions text or call 740-213-7827 PPE welcome at buyers expense.
