River is a gorgeous, powerful mare who is looking for her next partner in crime.

    •    Performance: Solid 3D/4D at big shows, has placed 2D at smaller jackpots. She’s a free runner with a big motor and plenty of talent. She runs the same pattern every time.
    •    Maintenance: Requires standard barrel horse upkeep (hocks/stifles injections).
    •    Experience: Has been used as a beginner lesson/camp horse, as well as a steady trail partner. Solid walk/trot/lope, no buck or rear. If I need a reliable horse for someone to hop on, she’s my go-to. She has a kind eye and absolutely loves kids.  With the right gritty youth and a trainer, she has the potential to make a very nice youth horse or an intermediate rider looking for a step up horse.

🚩 Full Transparency:
Her only vice is gate issues at certain arenas, particularly if there’s a narrow alley. She can throw a bit of a tantrum but does eventually go in with persistence. She’s been thoroughly checked over and pain has been ruled out. I do believe running on Lasix could help.

Letting her go is not an easy decision, but life changes mean I can’t justify letting her sit in the pasture when she has so much to offer someone else.
