French Calamity
2020 buckskin mare
Calamity has been lightly ran in the 2025 futurities. She has been placing in the 2D against some of the best futurity colts in the country. She has placed in the open 2D/3D several times, and has hit the 1D on occasion. She also knows the poles and I feel she will excel there, too. She has such a bright future ahead!
She is dog gentle, very broke, and kind. She’s the kind of horse you could be competitive on, then put a kid on shortly after.
No quirks or bad habits.
I raised and trained this mare. I could not have asked for a more perfect first futurity horse.
Some current statistics:
- won the 2D amateur futurity in Heber City, UT
- Placed 2nd in the 2D in a round of the Glacier Chaser futurity out of 90+ futurity colts
- Placed 4th in the 2D at the Idaho Barrel futurity running an 18.1 and 18.3 on a standard with a stumble.
- Ran a 1D futurity time at the Yeti Classic
- Was 5th in the 1D at a local race
- Won the 1D futurity sidepot at the BRB race in Rexburg, ID.
- Won the 2D in round 1 of the Witchfest Futurity
