Looking for the “ol’ faithful” type that’s been there/done that, has a proven record on multiple levels, and that’s easy and fun to run? Red fits the script!
Some of his credentials:
- Very consistently 1D locally, 1D/2D at bigger shows
- WPRA money earner: I filled my permit and card on him
- Placed at a couple PRCA rodeos & was just out of placing at multiple in the Badlands Circuit in the limited time I went
- College rodeo wins & placings
- Finished 4th in the Great Plains Region year end standings in 2023
- SDRA and ARA money earner
I believe Red would excel with a handy junior high/high school girl, a college rodeo girl wanting to be competitive, a lady who rodeos, or someone that wants to just jackpot and go to the bigger barrel races. He’s taken me to the pay window at each of those levels and I know he’ll do the same for someone else.
Minimal maintenance for his age and experience. I get his hocks injected once a year, keep him chiro’d, keep him on ulcer meds when I’m running him, and give him an EPM treatment once a year.
This is the horse that started it all for me and made a lot of my dreams come true. I’ve had him since he was in his momma’s belly. The only reason I’m selling him is that he deserves to be someone’s number one “go-to” again like he was for me for years. My focus has shifted to outside horses and my own young ones, so he’s not getting prioritized the way he needs to. That being said and not being hauled extensively this year, he has won 4 jackpots by at least .2, placed high in the 1D at multiple others, and was in the bottom of the 1D/top of the 2D at the two super shows I took him to. This horse is always in the hunt when he’s entered!
