Dr. Robert Thoni, Kilgore Veterinary Associates, located just north of I20 towards Henderson, Texas. Dr. Thoni is respectfully known to his clients as the "lameness man" - but should you encounter any problems on the road we are a full service veterinarian clinic - small and large animals. Dr. Thoni recently installed an AquaPacer that can jump start your horse getting back into shape or rehab after an injury. If you are not familiar with the AquaPacer it is a treadmill that allows the water to fill the tank from the feet up which enables us to control the level for each horse specific needs. The treadmill offers a cushion base for less impact on the horse's joints. The recovery time for a horse is much less after a session on the AquaPacer versus a normal work out on horse back and with less stress on the animal.

In the next few months he will be completing the final stage of his expansion of the clinic with a surgery center. Dr. Thoni has performed many surgeries for the "kissing spine" which is now being the cause of many lameness issues other than hocks and/or stifles. Once the surgery center is complete, Dr. Thoni will then be equipped to handle colic surgeries which will include 24hr after care with onsite living facility for any/and all procedures that may require more attention.
